I have been a Law enforcement Officer for the better part of thirteen years, and much of what is in this book I have learned from trial and error (no pun intended). Still there is plenty of useful information for veteran officers, and is a must read for less experienced officers who have yet to be raked over the coals in a courtroom. Devallis Rutledge writes the book as if he is talking with you one on one, and makes the book enjoyable to read. I recommend it highly.

the book has an awesome premise and the beginning is FANTASTIC, but then the author takes it away from the delightfully sadistic, perverse angle it was going towards and suddenly i was reading a story about a male whorehouse where it's all oral sex with the focus being swallowing semen (yawn). if the author had kept the tone that was in the beginning, this book would have been perfect. as it is, don't waste the time reading it.

Helping to build strong "boners" and bodies.

I've read several other of Milne's works and this one stands out from the pack. If only the many divisions of the "Corporation" truly existed... I was a little dissapointed, and felt robbed of any details of the final scenes in this volume. How much better an ending it would have been if the final climax of Daddy Clay's imprinsonment, the unlikely lovers escape and the punishment of the lapsed security officers had been flushed out a little further. Otherwise, you'll be hard put not to finish it in one setting. Unlike any of Mr. Milne's other novels, the build-up and release in each chapter are relentless. The techniques discussed are very educational as well as practical. I've returned to this one many, many times, and so will you.

All fluff and no stuffing

Three words of advice: save your money. Whereas "The Closers" was all steak, "The Closers 2" is as thin as one scrawny piece of bacon. There really is no subtsance to this book. It puports to yield more "secrets" to powerful selling, but it's full of light and largely useless bromides. As I was reading it I felt sure I would come to the "good stuff" soon, but never did. It was like one continuous preface, telling you what goodies there were coming soon, but never getting to them. It is shameful that the cover carries a "WARNING -- not for the beginner or novice, but for sales professionals ONLY." This is puffery of the worse kind, a sleazy sales "trick" that does not belong in any self-respecting salespersons's reportoire. I'm afraid the rest of the book goes downhill from there.

John Bunyan's Pilgrim's Progress was the second most widely and deeply read book in the English-speaking world for many, many years, the Bible being the first. Bunyan lived during the turbulent times of English Civil War and strife between the Established Church of England and the Nonconformists. Parliment and the Nonconformists went to war against King Charles and the Church of England (1642-1648). At age sixteen, Bunyan was drafted into the Protestant army and served two years. The Nonconformists, under Oliver Cromwell won, and Bunyan returned to Bedford, married, was baptized, and travelled the preaching circuit, where he became widely known for his powerful message. When Oliver Cromwell died, his dictatorship fell with him, and Charles II, (son of the beheaded Charles I) came to power, as did the Church of England. Bunyan was sent to jail in 1660 because he refused to stop preaching, and remained there for twelve years, until Charles II suspended all laws against the Nonconformists. The first part of Pilgrim's Progress, most of which had been written in jail, was published in 1678. Part two was published in 1684. As originally written, John Bunyan's narrative of the pilgrim Christian and his wife, Christina, is difficlut to read and out of date. For the person who may love to read passages over and over, with a dictionary of middle English and Anglo-Saxon words in his lap, the orginal edition is a delight. However, hurdle after hurdle destroys the cadence and rhythm of Bunyan's prose. Nor is the average reader aware that many of the words used by Bunyan have changed in meaning, at times drastically. It is the translation of obscufre medievel Anglo-Saxon words which is this edition's most valuable contribution. For the reader anxious to return to the language of Bunyan's original edition, he or she may now do so fully armed with knowledge of the change of meaning in words, and a true "translation" of the more obscure passages of The Pilgrim's Progress.

Great Book!

This book rightfully calls into question the way we develop athletes in America. It exposes the lack of true technical knowledge on the part of coaches and sports organizations. The only requirement most coaching jobs have is to be a former athlete.

Dr Yessis backs his claims by showing the errors of many things believed to be facts. His background in bio mechanics allows him to be able decipher many accepted "truths" to be bunk. This is an excellent read for anyone who is tired of hearing the same cliche laden bologna from coaches and executives.
